2019: EXCITING CHANGES COMING TO ELECTROYOGI ELECTROLYSIS
Dearest Clients and Friends,
On behalf of the entire little team at ElectroYogi Electrolysis, Thank You for your kindness, for your support, and for the ability to serve you and your unwanted hair with love and compassion over these months and years.
It is with gratitude that we enter 2019 with enthusiasm and a bit of nervousness due to several big changes on the horizon for our tiny electrolysis practice.
First, let me start with the great (and scary) news. Given that the marketplace for high-quality, dedicated talent in the electrolysis field is quite small, and as some of you know we lost four part-time electrologists in the past 2.5 years due to many forces beyond our control (personal life, family changes, pregnancies, and moves), I have decided to personally sell some of my life savings to grow a bigger team of wonderful electrologists to serve you.
In January, two young and wonderful women — ElectroYogi clients whose lives have been transformed by the wonders of electro! — will be entering electrology school with my help, set to graduate by July 2019, and hopefully pass their Board exams to join us as full time electrologists by July-August. Our new team will be completely committed as I have been to serving you seven days per week, including more nights and weekend hours per your many requests. Hopefully soon you may even see the new gals around the office sitting in and watching the way in which we do things here for you, so that they can continue the level of service, approach, education, before and after care, and passion you’ve come to expect from me and the team.
As a single mom for most of the time ElectroYogi has been in business, and having started this crazy, funny enterprise coming from documentary production so that I could be the best mom possible to my daughter Ella (with a home-based practice, flexibility, and availability to her needs as a healthy, happy person), we’ve come a long way.
It’s also been a lot to juggle by myself…managing a team, working 4-6 days per week in the practice with clients while running the social media, marketing, payroll, accounting, taxes, and figuring out how to grow with a tiny team using zero loans and no personal debt. But just as I used some inheritance from my beloved stepmother who passed away in 2009 to build our 2-room studio you’ve come to love, now I realize that to serve you best, grow the team, pay them sustainable wages, and take our practice to the next level, I must invest even more in it. Not only am I selling investments to help the new team members in their education, I’m investing once they join the team in a new location further west where we can help our clients currently commuting long distances to see us, and even our electrologists (Vanessa and Robin both) who are coming from mid-city and beyond to get here. By late summer 2019, we intend to have a studio space near West Hollywood/Beverly Hills, staffed 7 days a week with one-two electroyoginis for you.
I will continue to see clients here 4-5 days per week in Glassell Park, and our new electrologists will work mostly out of this office, too. Vanessa and Robin will continue to work here part time, and probably spearhead the operations on the westside. We also heard you loud and clear from our recent survey that you want to choose your own music, you want better inside seating for waiting, you want even better communication on after care, and you want more appointment availability. We’re on this for you!
We know that in this economy, your dollars and cents are very important, and we respect and appreciate every dollar and cent you choose to spend with ElectroYogi, knowing that you have many choices for permanent hair removal. It is our greatest goal to continue providing not only the best possible service to you and our future clients, but also to be able to sustain our team, build an even better team that can serve you better, and be able to stay afloat during tough times that make it very difficult for small businesses to survive.
We’ve worked too hard to let you down, and we’ve got so much more we’d like to do over the years to come, including workshops, events, sliding scale fee days, and networking fun. It is to this end that we must make the 2nd price increase ever in our 12 years of practice.
The good news? We’ll be able to offer packages again to save you money and cushion the blow. Additionally, our existing clients will have a 120-day/4 month grace period to enjoy our previous rates. We know we’re not the least expensive electrologists out there, but it has been and will continue to be our aim to be by far the best. And we hope, with love in our hearts and a personal approach to your well-being, that you’ll continue on the journey with us to get you hair free wherever you want to be permanently and joyfully.
Finally, we’ll also be updating our web site, app, and product offerings to serve you better. We even launched our ElectroYogi Electrolysis YouTube Channel where I chat about all things hair and skin and natural beauty. Please take a moment to subscribe! If you’ll share your story with me on camera, 30 minutes of electrolysis is on me.
Thank you again for your support. You are not just customers to us. Many of you have become friends. We take our responsibility to help you more seriously than you can imagine, and we will continue to bring positivity, professionalism, education, love, and dedicated service to you and those you refer once you’re done for hopefully decades to come.
With love and gratitude to all of you!
